Our story

Two friends, two cultures, one year.

“Culture” is the fermentation that gives our lots their flavour, and the two cultures behind the brand: Emirati and Bahraini. “71” is 1971, the year both the UAE and Bahrain became independent, and the +971 we call home.

Who we are

culture 71 was started by two partners in Abu Dhabi, one Emirati and one Bahraini. We wanted coffee that tastes like home, made with the care of specialty roasting.

How we work

We buy small co-fermented lots from Colombian producers, roast them locally in the UAE in small batches, and pack them in 200 g bags so every cup is fresh.
